6 | The dry dredgers are sad to announce the cancellation of the april 78th anniversary meeting and field trip as well as the may meeting and field trip. these cancellations are a direct result of the continuing covid -19 pandemic. we join other organizations in the effort to slow the spread of this terrible virus and protect our members. our next scheduled meeting at the university of cincinnati will not be until september. jack kallmeyer, president of dry dredgers. note also: geofair 2020, may 2 and 3, has been canceled.please join us next year for geofair 2021, may 1 and 2 at the sharonville convention center. announcements now announcing the winners of the dry dredgers paleontological research award! our next meeting is friday, september 25, 2020our next field trip is sat****ay, september 26, 2020 new: get tips on photographing your fossils from jack kallmeyer. amazon will donate a portion of your purchases to the dry dredgers. find out more here! blog: catch up on what our membersare doing with our new blog at http://blog.drydredgers.org! collaborate with paleontologists at www.myfossil.org read about the history of avocational paleontology and the dry dredgers. see what's new on the digital atlasof ordovician life. about the dry dredgers contact us what we do a brief history of the dry dredgers by-laws of dry dredgers, ınc. the dry dredgers is an a***ociation of amateur geologists dedicated to the knowledge and enjoyment of fossils. the a***ociation was founded in 1942 and continues to bring together those interested in ancient life. ıts aim is to stimulate interest in geology, to encourage the collection and identification of fossils, and to partic****te in field trips and exhibitions. the club is affiliated with the university of cincinnati geology department , and annually awards the paleo research award to support the study of paleontology. members of the dry dredgers are individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of expertise, sharing a common and sincere interest in fossils. average yearly members***p is about 200 families. meetings are held generally at 8 p.m. on the fourth friday of every month from september to june. at these meetings, projects are discussed, field trips planned, lectures presented and fossils appreciated. all meetings are held in room 201 braunstein hall on the university of cincinnati campus. field trips take place monthly in the autumn and spring, usually within 100 miles of cincinnati. members***p is open to all interested individuals and families. family members***p is $12/one year, $22/two years, and $30.00/three. ıf you would like to join, print and mail our members***p form. currently, we have about 267 family members***ps from all over the country. send your questions and comments to: jack kallmeyer, president join us! use this form. or read our blog (blog.drydredgers.org) |
